It is unclear when the discussion began, but the 1st SMP started political lore when L1keW0ah pushed the first campaign ad for Mr. Moo Moo for SMP mayor on December 6th. Potentially from the ad and other internal discussions, BBLB_YT requested a server gathering to deliberate on potentially implementing a mayorship, economics, and court system on December 7th.
Following the server meeting, BBLB_YT formally announced that there would be a mayoral election and inquired about any other candidates, other than himself and Mr. Moo Moo. Controversy began immediately surrounding the campaign of Mr. Moo Moo, as he was a Minecraft Mob and raised the question of whether mobs could hold and execute public office. BBLB_YT stated that if Mr. Moo Moo won the election, he would "have a court trial to get him arrested." Uncertainty with the integrity of the election became an issue when Nicholas openly called on L1keW0ah to "buy his vote" and alleged campaign promises "from" Mr. Moo Moo to "GIVE EVERYONE A NETHERITE INGOT, KEEP PEACE, AND GIVE FREE COOKIES!"
Various campaign signs were used to reach voters, often vandalizing public structures.
On December 9th, election day, the vote concluded in a tie between BBLB_YT and Mr. Moo Moo. And the result was unclear until Mr. Moo Moo's cult leader, L1keW0ah, conceded on behalf of Mr. Moo Moo, saying, "Congrats, sure it’s a draw, but you actually deserve to be mayor." However, due to the close nature of the election and the political question of whether a Mob can be elected to office, BBLB_YT demanded a trial against Mr. Moo Moo and his handlers.
The trial began at 3:30 PM on December 10th, 2020. It began with BBLB_YT's opening arguments for the charges proposed against Mr. Moo Moo and Professor Moo. Before the trial could progress, L1keW0ah was to represent Mr. Moo Moo and Professor Moo and was hesitant, likely gathering a response to BBLB_YT claims.
Assassination of Mr. Moo Moo
Amid the proceedings of the trial, hockeyben42, who was sitting in the jury box, pulled out a crossbow and fired multiple fireworks and assassinated Mr. Moo Moo.
The court reacted in shock to the unexpected killing. HiBens and hockeyben42 clashed in response, with hockeyben42 dying first, then HiBens was killed by the while Pickyman attempted to restore order.
Despite the assassination and oral arguments, the server jury voted a simple majority to acquit the charges brought against Mr. Moo Moo and Professor Moo.
BBLB_YT was unsatisfied with the ruling and blamed the jury for being rigged, with the majority of whom were supporters or handlers of Mr. Moo Moo.
